Frank Dukes goes from winning The Red Bull “Big Tune” competition and making beats for GFK to being his tour deejay and getting mad exposure in the process. Peep footage of the tour with nuff jokes and embarrassing moments for some fans who obviously have no idea how life’s moments of idol worship translate virally.

BTS look at “Lisa” by the Louis Boyz. So this was originally a Marcus Voyce track (featuring P Mck and Scribblez) but seems like the trio have officially formed to make a group called the Louis Boyz. Directed by my dude David F. Mewa! Video looks like it’s gonna be crispy.
No this ain’t the Beatles!! Homegrown took the concept and made it their own. Produced by Elaquent, “Day in the Life” lets you follow iNA, Introspect, Es, Lep, and Laila as they give you a perspective of their journeys throughout the Day. It’s only fitting that iNA’s day starts at “6:36 in the AM” and Lep ends with “going to the lab, to drop a verse such as this one on a Homegrown collab.”
“Four emcees… four voices…four minds…raw rhymes come together as one…” as quoted in one of our recent joints entitled “STRUCTURE” accurately represents what we bring to the table as well as the approach that we take to writing and creating. Uniting through mutual friendships with Introspect (Stefan Tochev) in early 2009, Lep (Lamine Martindale), Es (Eseme Elango) and iNA (Bhalinder Bedi) have been able to put in some work and are set to release our debut album, which is currently untitled, in the fall of 2010.
As individual emcees established in our own right and repping our respective crews (Introspect & iNA from iQ Movement. Lep from Fatal Phonetics. Es from Gill Breathing), we each bring a different flavour that makes us a force to be reckoned with.
Set to get our name and music out to the masses, we’ve digitally released our debut single entitled “Day In The Life” for free download which features vocals from Laila and production by Elaquent.
The artist formerly known as Lincoln’s been busy pushing the boundaries of what we’d expect from a rap artist. Since his time with The Foundation (Rochester, Jahvon, Mhedikc, Tone Mason, Stirling) he’s collaborated withThe Marshin Academy; changed his name to Lincoln Blache; and pretty much expanded his brand beyond the traditional rap lane; giving himself the room to truly find himself as an artist.
“Go” is the first official video to embody his ongoing transformation and is off his upcoming “Lincoln High” EP.
Not a lot of info on these two kids, it just came in our inbox with a link; but it definitely inspired a..
SIDEBAR:
Honestly man, I post this one with mixed feelings.
On one side these two kids – Meek & Young Greezy – are spitting tighter and with more passion and heart than seasoned rappers twice their age. And their video, although a very simple one-shot, is more engaging than most ‘big budget’ videos.
With that being said, I feel like the lines of entertainment/reality, free individual will/social responsibility are blurred in this video.
ETalk takes us behind-the-scenes of Trish’s NYC shoot for “Bump”(Remix)/”Mannequin” and talks to Luther Brown (SYTYCDC, DoDat) about working with the rising artist.
