The year was 2003:
A passionate group of up and coming directors, artists, and community leaders embarked on a musical journey. The goal: to throw down the realest rap show the city had ever experienced. The goal was accomplished.
Held at Toronto’s legendary concert venue The Reverb, 4 cameras captured the entire thing. From the soundcheck, backstage, to the gathering crow at the door, we see everything, and get a very unique glimpse of Toronto at a very special time when Hip Hop was really Alive in the city.

Another great example of the direction traditional-minded hip-hop producers NEED to start going in to expand the potential horizons of their own movement. A beat doesn’t always have to be a vehicle for a singer or emcee – it can be a fully-formed musical piece in its own right – it’s all about how you perceive it and present it.
