Here’s Trailer #2 from Famous’ Goddess Girl project set to release on October 6th! He also officially released the website for the project today (www.goddessgirlmovie.com)!
Nice little interview with the legendary DJX courtesy of Melody Hill Radio/RUTv. Supposedly this is going to be an ongoing series. Look forward to seeing more!
“Some of Toronto’s finest beatmakers, Rich Kidd, Boi 1da, Mega Man, Team Soundsmith, & Northern Profit gathered yesterday nearby Scarborough Town Center to show love to each other and play each other’s favourite beats. Collectively, they have produced for the likes of Drake, G-Unit, Busta Rhymes, Rakim, Kardinal Offishall, Young Jeezy, Fabolous, K-Os, and Saukrates just to name a few. Watch as they select their favourite beats from each other; some already hit records, others yet to be released, all heateration.”
Looks like it was a DOPE event (shouts to Keezy on the footage!).
Off the “The Les-Kils EP” (a collaboration with producer Fresh Kils) comes the latest single from emcee More Or Less which also features Ghettosocks, Timbuktu & Uncle Fester.
If the extravagant emcee names don’t hint at it, this should be categorized under fun, light-hearted (but with a message) hip-hop ala Jurassic 5. Perfect for a nice Sunday evening just before the VMA’s.

I got a heads up about this video shoot from Glory at L&G Films and was able to make it out for one of the scenes. Camo video shoots are always adventures and word is for this one they travelled across Toronto shooting in different hoods. Luckily for me and mines, Kin Smuv agreed to rock his Hip Hop Ain’t Dead It Lives In The North t-shirt for his scenes. This song is from Camo’s upcoming mixtape and is also featured on THE MIXTAPE.
Gangis Khan AKA Camoflauge has been busy working on his official album debut but in the meantime he’s got a new mixtape in the works and a brand new L&G Films directed video “BIG BANG” which features fellow Scarborough artist Kin Smuv on the hook.
The mixtape will feature “BIG BANG” as well as other original records and dubplates. DJ Shamann will be holding down the mix and this project will be the introduction of Shamann as Gangis Khan’s official DJ. More information about this project will be released in the near future. Stay tuned!
Randomly spotted this on HipHopDX.com. The Toronto-based group has been making noise for a few years now (most notably for their track “Burn Down The Disco”) but I think this is their first official video. If I’m not mistaken they’ve also done a lot of work behind the scenes, writing and producing for artists as varied as Jully Black to Britney Spears!
Gee Wunder – Kid Out Da Hood, from the digital release Hood Politics (Street Album II) available on iTunes now! Album features J Diggz, Cory Lee, Shaun Boothe and more! CD now available at Rockwells (Yonge & Dundas), Uptown (Yonge & Dundas), Play De Record (Yonge & Dundas) and Mixtape Maniacs (Weston Rd. & St. Clair).
In Episode #11, Eternia provides a scathing critique of the “R.I.P. to All Female Emcees” media hype that has recently surfaced. She builds with the legendary MC Lyte & Jean Grae, as all 3 ladies shut down the ‘where are all the female emcees?’ rhetoric that has run rampant. The episode also introduces two other emcees killing the game: True Daley & Nemiss, who murk the stage… and happen to be female. If Ya (claimed) Ya Don’t Know… Now Ya Know.
In the upcoming months, eternia will release steady video & audio leaks leading up to the highly anticipated release of eternia & MoSS’s debut album, “AT LAST”. Follow them as they shop for a record deal, promote the album, and countdown to the release date. And you just never know what special guests may pop up… stay tuned!
