“Fast Pace” is the second single/video off Tona’s SOLID sophomore set “Direct Deposit”, a collaboration with producer Lyve. The song features Saukrates & T.R.A.C.K.S. from IRS.
Big shouts to David F. Mewa who’s batting a pretty impressive director average (Famous’ “Ain’t No Use” & “A Kid Tryna Make It”, Tona’s “Major”).
The video release party’s going down at Revival (783 College St) tomorrow night but don’t holla, just reach.
And for those that still haven’t heard the song (even tho I swear it’s being rinsed everywhere, including my I-pod as I type this): Download
If you like it, vote for it on The MCC.
Also catch Tona on The Real Frequency tonight @ 11pm (Flow 93.5 FM) as I fill in for Arcee.
Bishop’s new set of webisodes. If you missed it peep the first one here: Episode 1 w/ Crooked I
We weren’t up and running when this vid first dropped but I seen it over at Praise And Warship a couple days ago which reminded me we hadn’t put it up yet. If Drex looks familiar it’s cuz he’s also the co-founder of The Remix Project, a youth initiative that actually needs your support (I know Drex won’t mind the double plug, lol!)

Saw a post at the HHC forums that totally reminded me of this vid! I’ve got a list of about 10 Youtube clips I’m always showing to people & this is one of them (Youtube won’t let me embed so Dailymotion it is!). Watch what happens when James Brown invites Michael Jackson & Prince onstage.
Talk about a moment going from awesome to awkward (You HAVE to watch the ENTIRE clip to get it!).
D-Sisive is having a pretty crazy year. After coming off a 6-year hiatus last year with the album The Book (Juno nominated) he’s already returned with a follow-up: Let The Children Die (I guess there were a lot of rhymes written in his notepad over that 6-year period lol). Along with the new vid here’s his Muse Box page where you can check out some of the new tunes.

Song’s hot and he just cracked the top 10 on the MCC. Here’s the vid. Not bad for a first attempt by an indy artist but if anything it definitely shows that this kid has potential! For future reference…no pouring water on yourself in a music videos please. And that goes for everyone. Thx. lol
New Diggz. From the man himself:
THE SOPHOMORE ALBUM IS ENTITLED “THE EXPERIMENT”… BASICALLY I’M MAKING AN ALBUM WITH NO PARTICULAR GENRE IN MIND! I’M GOING IN WITH AN OPEN MIND & I HAVEN’T BEEN THIS EXCITED WITH THE MUSIC I’VE BEEN MAKING SINCE I WAS 11 YEARS OLD! IT FEELS GREAT!
THIS SINGLE IS THE BUZZ OFF THE PROJECT ENTITLED “WHUCHA SIPPIN ON”.

I know this is “old” now (when speaking in blog terms) but considering that this actual blog is new and that the song is #2 on the countdown (results to the right) I figured to post it in case you haven’t seen it yet.

Electrik Red are a group signed under The Dream/Tricky Stewart’s production label Radio Killa Records through Def Jam Records. The two lead singers, Naomi Allen & Sarah Rosete hail from The Megacity and have been putting in work as professional dancers & video models from time (Usher, Janet, Mariah, Choclair, Ludacris, the Dream Girls movie). If you’re a fan of The Dream & Tricky Stewart’s slick, futuristic production then this album is a key piece to own. Their debut album “How To Be A Lady Vol.1” is in stores now!
