Just came back from the Town Hall meeting at Metro Hall. Although there were definitely some very “interesting” moments, the main point I took from it is that CKLN still has a chance to be saved so please do your part by visiting CKLN.FM and signing the petition as well as writing to the CRTC…ASAP.
Here’s some footage from Saturday’s Mixtape Massacre show (1-4pm) featuring freestyles from Smash Brovaz, Thrust, Tona, Rich Kidd and 4th Pyramid. Thought it was their last show but there’s def one more show this Saturday as well (which should be CRAZY).
Special shouts to Rich Kidd for editing his own potty mouth lmao. Too bad the video cuts off before Adam Bomb too. Shouts ro Ro’Shine for the link and Wan in the cut.
This may be one of the last cypher sessions that will be heard or seen on CKLN 88.1 as the CRTC is revoking their license which will take affect later this week. A lot of people passed through to show their support for what the Mixtape Massacre show has meant to the hip hop community in Toronto for many years. The show will be truly missed.
