D-Sisive is having a pretty crazy year. After coming off a 6-year hiatus last year with the album The Book (Juno nominated) he’s already returned with a follow-up: Let The Children Die (I guess there were a lot of rhymes written in his notepad over that 6-year period lol). Along with the new vid here’s his Muse Box page where you can check out some of the new tunes.
Quite the downturn from last year’s numbers (50 Cent – $150mil, Jay-Z – $85mil) but hey, it’s a recession baby. The list is also slightly flawed in how it calculates the total wealth. For instance, Young Jeezy should clearly be number 1 cuz he move bricks like construction aaaaaaaaaaaye
1. Jay-Z – 35 Million
2. Diddy – 30 Million
3. Kanye West – 25 Million (more…)
Song’s hot and he just cracked the top 10 on the MCC. Here’s the vid. Not bad for a first attempt by an indy artist but if anything it definitely shows that this kid has potential! For future reference…no pouring water on yourself in a music videos please. And that goes for everyone. Thx. lol

THE SOPHOMORE ALBUM IS ENTITLED “THE EXPERIMENT”… BASICALLY I’M MAKING AN ALBUM WITH NO PARTICULAR GENRE IN MIND! I’M GOING IN WITH AN OPEN MIND & I HAVEN’T BEEN THIS EXCITED WITH THE MUSIC I’VE BEEN MAKING SINCE I WAS 11 YEARS OLD! IT FEELS GREAT!
THIS SINGLE IS THE BUZZ OFF THE PROJECT ENTITLED “WHUCHA SIPPIN ON”.
What up, what up?! This is just a quick note to those who neither went down nor stuck around to catch Montreal-based platter-spinning musicologist Andy Williams and profound local wordsmith Ian Kamau for there knowledge spreading wrap party to the busy Femi Kuti set at Harbourfront last Saturday. What you missed was a hot offering of some of the deepest, genre-splicing, afrocentric jams around, served up by a DJ referred to affectionately as “the Teacher” in Williams, along with a live preview of cuts that will no doubt form the basis of Kamau’s official full-length due in the world this coming September.
