Keys N Krates (Matisse & Dj Jr Flo) are definitely putting The Megacity on the map with their innovative live mash-ups. If you attended any of their early events here in Toronto you know how nutty they get and they’ve been touring heavy the last year, amassing critical acclaim and a great following. Here they are doing ‘justice’ to “We Are Your Friends”.
Rock The Bells is coming to Toronto this Sunday July 5th 2009 at the Molson Amphitheatre and we want to hook you up with two (2) tickets. Details are below the flyer!
Shoot me a quick email to hustlegrl@gmail.com with the subject heading “ROCK THE BELLS”. Please include your Full Name and Mailing Address and I will randomly pick the winner ASAP! The Winner can pick up their tickets from the JamVan which will be located after 3p close to the Ticket Booth at the Amphitheatre on Sunday. Please provide some form of ID to pick up your tickets.

If you’re a youtube addict you might be familiar with “Pruane2Forever”, a Canadian kid whose idea of online fun includes blazing 50 for his media-whoring ways. Well, apparently his Curtis rants got him right next to the man himself. Let the Pruane cloning begin (lol!).
We do what we do because this city is filled with talent that NEEDS to be heard. Frankie Payne’s been putting it down for the Megacity from 19 how long and has maintained his position as an artists to pay attention to. His single “Reach” (prod. Tone Mason) did some damage on The MCC last year and with the launch of his website, a new EP (sick!) and a video on the way for the singles “Raining In Toronto” (feat. Andreena Mill) & “Money”, now would be a good time (if you aren’t already) to get familiar with the kid from Falstaff.
From the man himself. If you don’t know, Voyce has had some serious local hits here in Toronto and has recently been working with Bryan-Michael Cox. He’s written for Day 26, Danity Kane, Cassie and more and is definitely making a name for himself as a songwriter. Check out his latest single here.
– I go by the name Voyce Alexander as you know. To be real with you my name Voyce has held me back business wise for a long time (a singer named Voyce). It has given people the wrong impression of me since the day I took it on. My real name is Aion (a-on) and that’s who I am in my music and in everyday life. Voyce was a boastful and ignorant person who was in the way of Aion’s destiny. From here on out I would feel it best to revert back to my birth name, Aion. I am leaving Voyce Alexander in the dirt! Aion means life, breath and eternity, and that’s what I intend to bring to the world through my music.
The Fine Print is where I’ll articulate the observations and connections I find in culture, urban living, hip hop, social behaviour and Toronto. As a journalist and entrepreneur, I’m constantly finding connections beneath the surface. The type of connections that are readily available for anyone to observe and explore, but not necessarily apparent unless you are looking for them.
Hence – The Fine Print. Between the lines, finding parallels, identifying similarities and making more sense of the world because of it.
Just got back from the launch party. Great night tonight. Thanks to everyone that came out but more on that later (video coming soon). Had to post this real quick though…
So this dude Richie Hennessey (alter alias: S-Roc of Brassmunk) humbly passed me this CD a couple months back during our last MORE party (shouts to H!) and if you check me on The Burn (midnight on OTA Live!) you know I’ve BEEN rinsing tracks from this EP ever since. Look for the “Every Moment” video to drop soon times but if you haven’t already, get your bubbly on courtesy of the EP!
