“It’s been a phenomenal year for critically acclaimed Toronto Emcee Theology 3, from the unforgettable50 BARS, SAME PATTERNbuzz video to the Worldwide banger Make It Big on Screwface Capital® records. Receiving consistent international spins from the likes of Dj Eclipse (NYC), Dj Kingstun (U.K.), Dj Lord Jazz (Paris), and Michael Nardone (California) coupled with Canada wide support from DJ’s such as Dj Grouch (T.O.), Budda Blaze (Montreal), Jay Boogie (Winnipeg), Dj Cosm (Calgary), Dj Sage (B.C.) & Countless others, the table has been set for a bevy of highly anticipated new releases.
The upcoming FEATURING…NO Features ep, due out digitally October 2009, is laced with one of a kind production spotlighting a wide array of topical rhymes spanning the spectrums of self confident banter, stream of consciousness lyrics and all areas in between. This truly is a sonic ride not be missed! The over the top bounce of “Under my Skin” (Tek n’ Klipz) and the hypnotic head nod of “Employee of the Month” (produced by grammy nominated Tone Mason) display the stunning contrast of sounds and styles with vivid realism.
As a salute to the growing legions of fans and industry supporters of the musical movement, Theo3 will be releasing1 BRAND NEW verse every week with production from Toronto beat monster Big Sproxx leading up to the October release date of the FEATURING…NO Features ep.“
My homegirl Ilona sent this over to me. Should be a cool, eclectic cultural event. If you’re looking for something new to experience come through. From about 7-10pm will be light music and the art show and then it will turn into a party with DJ Slum1 and DJ Serious manning the boards. I’m going!
I always thought the single snippet idea was a waaay more effective method of gaining single promo/buzz without actually releasing the song.
Why artists don’t do it more often is a definite Caramilk mystery.
Sure it irritates the hell out of fans, deejays and bloggers but if the song’s good, it works.
(Diddy proved it with Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya” & “The Benjamins” which were both originally released as one verse snippets).
I’d even argue the state of the industry would be completely different if this had been adopted from the digital jump (I know, I’m digressing, I’ll shut up now, lol!).

Interview with Boi-1da! Talks about some of the work he’s done, clears up the misunderstanding with the “Forever” beat/hook, addresses Internet rumours, who he wants to work with and more! Pt. 2 after the jump. Seen on HHC!
Meant to post this yesterday but didn’t find the time. Here’s the latest news from Louis and the camp!
After years of success in the local Toronto hip hop scene and recently flirting with international stardom, Scarborough born rapper Luu Breeze (age 23) is launching a new creation, 1st Party.
The 1st Party movement is a collective of likeminded individuals and trendsetters in the urban community consisting of producers, rappers, singers, business men, street team members & photographers. Artistically, the movement consists of Luu Breeze and long time co-worker and Rexdale native Mista Bourne, local elite production duo Burd & Keyz and featured based artists Cusalono & Victor Newman.
Two 1st Party labels have been started by Luu Breeze, manager Taylor Jones & Vice President Mista Bourne. The first being 1st Party Music an unsigned label that will be the base of the rappers highly anticipated debut album “Topic of Discussion”. The second label being 1st Party Digital, which has signed a worldwide digital distribution agreement to Fontana North Distribution, which will hold as a platform to release selected Luu Breeze & 1st Party affiliated act’s music into the digital world.
