“Last Minute” is the new short film in HD from Dan-e-o’s Dilla Pickles album/mixtape. The film stars Dan-e-o, Conwell, Melanie Leduc, Stacey Armstrong and the beautiful Jas Seron in a gripping story about love, lust, betrayal and revenge!
D is back at it again. This guy’s output level (on quantity and creative standards) since his return to the game is ridiculous and is exactly how it needs to be in today’s ADD world. That being said, this song is in an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT DIRECTION from his recent work (don’t say I didn’t warn you). Light the camp fires and break out the marshmallows boys and girls. Here’s the official release from D-Sisive himself:
Dear friends,
For the past month and a half I’ve been locked up in the studio with producer extraordinaire Andrew “Fresh Kils” Kilgour (Shania Twain, ACDC, Jon Secada) recording the follow up to my Multi-Platinum, Latin Grammy Award-Winning debut LP, Let The Children Die. Though we are near completion, we are still a few months away from the release of Vaudeville.
Not being prolific is something I’ve been guilty of. I’ve been attacked in the press, and insulted by fans for leaving them dry without new material. It’s been days since my name has appeared on a blog, and for that, some devoted listeners have deemed me dead. It’s been weeks since I’ve released new music, and for that I apologize. I’m not a machine. I’m merely a man. Flesh and bones. A robot, I am not.
Which is why I’ve decided to give you a taste. A lick of the spoon. A nibble of the cake. A swig of the sauce. A swallow of Vaudeville.
I selected the song that best represents where I’m going, yet never abandoning where I’ve been. Underground Hip-Hop, but with a twist. A journalist for Black Hair Magazine once labeled me “The Bret Michaels of Rap.” Now I’m ready to proudly wear that crown. Or Cowboy Hat. A spiky brimmed, solid gold cowboy hat covered with jewels. Sitting atop a gold dipped bandana covered with emeralds that cannot be ruined by sweat.
Ladies & Gentlemen, I proudly present to you…
Every Rose Has Its Thorn.

Caught this on TOFLO! TSS presents 15 Minutes With Ayah. In the interview they cover her choice to pursue music over school, her 4:15 project, her upcoming work with DJ Jazzy Jeff and much more! Great look for one of T-Dot’s finest.
Doing what you want usually conflicts with doing what’s expected of you. Such was especially true for Ayah, the Palestinian singer/songwriter by the way of Toronto. Armed with a sultry voice, she forwent school so she could pursue her true passion: music. It was a risky move as so many walk down the same unbeaten path only to reach a dead end. But with a mixtape, a debut album released and a collaboration LP in the works with the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff, let’s just say she’s turned some heads. As Radric Davis would say, “bein’ indie ain’t easy,” but Ayah sure doesn’t give off that impression. The songstress sat down with the Crew’s S. Cadet to discuss her projects, upbringing and the pros and cons of being independent.
Nice little joint from Promise. The track is a freestyle/dub for a local mixtape that never ended up coming out. To get caught up with what Promise is up to peep the interview he did last week with Ty Harper (below).
