If you’ve been following Ayah over the past year and change (which clearly you should have been doing) then you already know that her next project to drop is being produced in its entirety by the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff. Can’t remember now how the two hooked up but with a co-sign like that, Ayah is definitely set to make some more noise in 2010. The album is called This Way and is pretty much done. I believe they’re still working on some joints but to wet your appetites here’s the official sampler for the album which actually features 5 full-length songs (the rest being snippets).
Famous drops by Toronto Morning Live (CHRY 105.5) for an interview with DJ Manifest (this past Monday morning). During the show they talk about the “I Wanna Know Your Name” remix + video, Goddess Girl, Toronto’s scene, Burd & Keyz and a lot more!
“A gifted story-teller over any beat, The Kid Famous has already let us in behind the scenes on his now meteoric rise as a relevant rapper in Canada’s hip-hop history. From industry intern to rap CEO and now burgeoning video director, his creative and distinctive approach to the music business has offered an undeniable blueprint to the possibilities of success for any independent rapper in the game today. Don’t knock the hustle Toronto. Famous has captured the gaze of an entire nation in short order and the proof is in the proverbial pudding with his continued collaborations, recently acclaimed short film, Goddess Girl, and soon to be released video for the dance remix to “I Wanna Know Your Name”. In this day and age, with the global eyes of hip-hop pointed firmly in the direction of Canada’s borders, the clear-cut question is…who doesn’t want to be Famous?” – DJ Manifest.
E doing what she does best at her “At Last (We Got A Record Deal)” event back in February. Congrats to her and MoSS for signing with Fat Beats for the release of their upcoming collabo project!

It’s about that time,
After the success of the first “Life’s not so sample” mixtape emcee/producer Malicious decided to go back in and this time he didn’t do it alone.
With the help of producers G.C.,Gee Wiz, Duo Tang, and a feature from rising “femme fatale’ Signif, MTL’s own Malish delivers a 16 track heater filled with raw chopped samples.
You’d think someone kidnapped Just Blaze and Kanye and is keeping them hostage in Canada the way this tape is sounding.
Officially it drops this Thurdays March 18th with the help of Kevin Nottingham but to give you taste of whats to come here is the lead track, Fade out, of the new mixtape “Life’s not so sample 2”.
