Saukrates goes in on Drizzy’s “Over” for the “Hip-Hop Docktrine 3” mixtape celebrating the third and final season of The Boondocks.

(Had to find a pic of Riley with the bandanna for this one.. think BBL album photo shoot)

On a personal note, shouts to Aaron McGruder for giving us a progressive and creative TV series in a time when no one seems to care enough to truly support and sustain this type of forward-think adult programming.

Apparently the full mixtape drops tonight (Sunday) at 11pm. The Boondocks Season 3 follows at 11:30pm on Adultswim…

Followed by the Saukrates: Season One album @ midnight (yeah, right, I wish).

VIDEO: Saidah Baba Talibah (Live @ The Hideout)

hyperadmin | Music,Video | Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Had the pleasure of checking out Saidah Baba Talibah this past Thursday for Rock Noir 2 (big salute to original Circle Fam, Anthem for putting this event on). Always great to be reminded of what it sounds like to hear a real band of musicians come together and actually make the music right in front of you.

Shouts as well to Sons Of Raw and the Ooh Baby Gimme Mores (a young up and coming afro-punk crew that I’m pretty sure we’ll be hearing more from in the very near future) for throwing down earlier on in the night.

Saidah’s The Phone Demos is out and available HERE!
