Download files coming soon (including full DJ pack) but for now you’ll have to deal with a YouTube stream of D-Sisive‘s latest single “Ray Charles” feat. King Reign. His new album Vaudeville is coming out June 22nd now (pushed back one week) but I’ll let D explain why lol. Also, hit the jump for another joint off Vaudeville called “West Coast” in the form of a video which marries the song to visuals from the movie Blow.
That’s right. My new album hits stores on June 22. It’s original June 15th release date had to be moved back due to technical difficulties. Truth is, Eminem (who also releases an album on the 22nd) challenged me to a first week sales competition a-la Kanye/50 Cent. If I outsell him, he retires. If he outsells me, we continue on with our lives as if nothing happened at all. I can be very competitive when it comes to music so I accepted. Good luck, Marshall. If you happen to run into him, don’t bother asking about it. He’ll probably deny it. – D-Sisive

Keynote Interview with DJ Scratch + EPMD
Scratch an internationally recognized DJ and producer who will speak about his experience working within the industry for over 20 years. Famous for his DJ routine cutting Big Daddy Kane’s “Friday the 13th Imma Play Jason” line as he emerges from beneath the turntable set wearing a hockey mask and DJing for EPMD, Jay Z, and P Diddy to name a few. Also well rounded producer for Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Q-Tip, and more. He will demonstrate the ingenuity, entrepreneurship and the self branding necessary to be a major player in the competitive international DJ and music industry.
A pioneering duo out of Long Island, EPMD (Erick and Parrish Making Dollars) released their first single “It’s My Thing” b/w “You’re A Customer” in 1987. Their debut album Strictly Business dropped in ’88 and was an instant classic. Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith will be shedding light on what it takes to make it in the hip hop industry and how they were able to get where they are today.
Caught this on TRF! One of my favorite MCs in the city, Tona, does what he does best over GangStarr’s classic “Don’t Take It Personal” exclusively for the upcoming S.A.R.S. 7 mixtape. Oh, and if you haven’t taken in the Tona & Adam Bomb joint yet, you’re sleeeeeeeeeeping!
For the past few years, Empire aka Fifth Letter Fam member T.R.A. aka The Rhyme Animal has been lining up the hottest emcees in Canada to drop their sickest 16 or 32 bars to showcase if their sick enough to hold weight with the chosen few on the infamous S.A.R.S. series.Today, we have an exclusive from Scarborough’s own Tona, who drops an ill verse over the Gangstarr classic as a tribute to the late great Guru! S.A.R.S 7: Contagious will be released on May 22nd, 2010 via The Sars Network and at your local record mom and pop stores across the GTA. – Quackas
