Brendan Philip, with special guests Shi Wisdom and PG will host an intimate night of soul, love and sounds of “MUD” at Central, 603 Markham St. (Bloor and Bathurst).  “The goal of this show is to get myself over to Europe so that I can do a few gigs to help get the word out in some over seas countries”, says Philip.  As the first ever “solo” Brendan Philip Show, this deeply-real soulman plays alongside his signature acoustic guitar and a live band.

New joint from The Rapper Guy!

Redway is a young talent who has more so been in a dark corner since his 08′ release of “Pick Me Up”, which had also peaked #5 on Flow 93.5’s OTA Live Countdown that summer. Back with a new sound, flow and presence ‘New Heights’ is the first installment to be released off the up and coming “Border Living Mixtape”, set for release this Fall.

Via HHC! Stolen From Africa was on scene at Maestro‘s Stick To Your Vision book launch last week at The Drake Hotel. Peep the video for a quick interview with Wes where he talks about the book, his relationship with Chuck D, his musical influences, his latest projects and more. Also, there’s footage from the actual performances featuring “Stick To Your Vision” and “Let Your Backbone Slide” and a speech by the Queen Michie Mee. On August 12th, Maestro Fresh Wes and friends gathered at The Drake Hotel to celebrate the launch of Stro’s new book, Stick To Your Vision. If you missed out, no worries: HipHopCanada was on scene for the coverage! HipHopCanada affiliates Stolen From Africa caught up with the Canadian Godfather for a brief interview and photographer Ajani Charles captured the energy of the performances by Wes and DJ Starting From Scratch.
