Another effective visual freestyle from Sese, this time with P Dollaz, as they hop on the “Incrediblez” beat.

SIDEBAR:

Gotta give big shouts to G-Dot for pretty much creating what seems to be a cost-effective, social-network-standard, visual lane (somewhere between the traditional big budget video and the cheap, horrible, brand-destroying videos most struggling come-up artists are forced to put out). Of course I’m assuming that these videos are being done at a minimal price with a high turn around time; which would make them the perfect template for other indie artists to start applying to their own viral campaigns (hint hint, lol).

The reality is, whether the video costs $50,000 or $5000, both will exist predominantly on social networking mediums meaning both will have pretty much the same time span of relevance once they’re released. Reality check artists: it ain’t about dropping a mind-blowing music video anymore (not if it’s dictated by your personal budget and Videofact’s discretion), it’s about creating and maintaining an entertaining, cost effective and sustainable visual/viral presence. So I’d wager that Sese probably stands to get more out of his 10 ‘clean’ (I hate using the word ‘clean’ but in this case I think it actually applies) quick-fix freestyle visuals than the artist that invests more time, more money and more effort into releasing ONE high-end traditional video.

Dope, moving visuals paying homage to Matic (the emcee whose vocals are featured on the song) who died of cancer in ’08 (R.I.P.).

Featured in the video are his sons along with a healthy dose of Toronto hip-hop citizenry including Ski, Theo3 & Frankie Payne.

“The Time Is Now” will be featured on the Boomaddicts project which was a collaboration between Matic and producer Phat Tony aka Big Tweeze.
