Okay so a couple months back I posted the Taste Test EP from Montreal’s Shogun. That first EP is part of a 5 series project a la the 5 parts of Voltron – one of my favorite 80s anime franchises. This here is Part 2 in that series: The Heart Donor. Production from Sikh Knowledge,Xero Motion Music & Bones Malone. The cover art might be a little suspect but the music itself is worth checking. Full tracklist after the jump!

Gotta give it up to X man. This was definitely one of the best OTA Talk shows we’ve had thus far. Like Ty said at the end of the interview, X is one of the reasons to feel proud about Toronto’s contribution to hip-hop/R&B so if you didn’t know here’s the full show broken down into 6 parts. Video coming soon courtesy of Write Just Flms.
Part 01:http://usershare.net/3rfd8lufehzr
We get to know the origins of Director X. Where’s he from? What’s his background? We touch on X’s beginnings as a visual and spoken word artist and get to know how he first transitioned into becoming a video director.
Part 02:http://usershare.net/e10sga6m4wph
In this clip we take it back to X’s first video “What It Takes” by Choclair and talk about X’s experience working with Hype Williams in NYC. We also touch on some of X’s most important videos like “Northern Touch”, “Gimme The Light” and “Ol’ Time Killin'”.
Part 03:http://usershare.net/0j8q4ypmjk7b
We touch on X’s official name change to ‘Director X’ and he breaks down the relationship between the artist and the director on set. X also breaks down the necessary team needed to puttogether a video and we talk briefly about the new Internet age and how it’s effecting videoproduction and the game as a whole.
Part 04:http://usershare.net/97f1uw0ldrek
X talks about Drake’s success and gives advice to the new crop of direcotrs out there. We also talk about one of X’s most memorable videos, Usher’s “U Don’t Have To Call”, and he breaks down the idea of there being a spirit involved when creating art.
Part 05:http://usershare.net/taku1qxjemf8
In this clip we talk about video directors trying to cross over to direct feature films. X also breaks down the freedom directors have when doing music videos as opposed to other forms of film making. We also talk about X’s opportunity to work with Aaliyah and get to know some of his current favorite directors as well as his favorite self-directed videos.
Part 06:http://usershare.net/4bgawk2k90ql
What is Director X’s favorite video of all time? And Ty tweaks his famous pearly white gates question to cater to video directors. Meanwhile, X goes on a Toronto-tangent and breaks down the origins of Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin'” video. We end things off with some very wise words from Director X.
Future The Prince takes us behind the scenes of Rick Ross ft. Drake and Chrisette Michele’s “Aston Martin Music” music video directed by Gil Green. He talks about everyday life on tour with Drake in addition to showing exclusive footage of the band rehearsing for the Miami date, and tries to explains what going to a 400 Club event is really like in Miami….
Nice joint from a new artist named Jus Randy. Well, he’s new as “Jus Randy” but if you’ve been following the city’s scene for any respectable amount of time then you should recognize the voice as that of May One 9 from Brassmunk. Here he gets a likkle help from Natasha Waterman on “LuvHate”! Produced by Gameboy!
More of that Boi-1da interview with the red walls. Via TOFLO!

This was from B.O.B.’sMTV Unplugged performance last month with Ms. Fiona doing a pretty nice assist on the Hayley Williams hook. Not the best quality visuals but still pretty good considering that it looks like it was taped off a television set.
