Jaydahmann pays homage to the OGs over Ricky’s “BMF” beat.
“…Michael Lewis, 28, along with Paul Watson, 33, were shot down on July 24, 2001 by three men in a van while standing outside an apartment on Flemington Rd.
Lewis was the father of three children, a volunteer in the community, and a successful disc jockey and music promoter. Detectives at the time called the killing a “misguided act of revenge.”
According to police, Lewis’ mother and his brother Wayne saw the killings from their upstairs apartment.

Get to know Tanika a lil’ better in this feature with Canadianmusicfest.com.
Closing your eyes might help you imagine Ms. West, boldly sashaying across the screen, a wake of affected men left undeniably helpless in her thrall. If you’ve ever been left in that position, then you can understand Mz. Chawls’ potion of soul magic. At once a study in stunning contrasts, like platinum butterfly wings, the Toronto born Edmonton raised Mz.Chawls operates in a sonic time capsule possessing the assurance of Inez Foxx, the vulnerability of Tammi Terrel, and the smoldering intensity of Betty Wright. Mz.Chawls is the Truth. Soul music seems to have come full circle with the re-introduction of greats like Al Green and Lee Fields to a younger audience, and now Tanika Charles marks its completion.
The Toronto press concurs, as Now Magazine voted Mz. Chawls as, Best R&B Singer Of 2008.
Brand new video from Ghettochild featuring Chad Hatcher. This is “On The Move” directed by the Hansen-Macdonald Brothers for Trinocular Films and the song was produced by Classified. The song appears on the album In The Making.

Shouts to @ideal34 who sent us this tweet on some “I knoooooow you’re gonna love this” lol. I think now that Chris Stylez has some momentum he should re-release this song like proper though. Lost? “High On Love” came out a few years ago on some un-mixed, straight out the studio, leak-type ish (shouts to 2Rude!) and although we showed it love on OTA Live where we could (this was pre Megacity Countdown days) it definitely never got the push it deserved. Anyways….yes Josie, thanks for the link. lol.
Get caught up with Chris Stylez below. Lord knows you been sleeping long enough…and vote for dude on 106 & the MCC!
This is “Hard to Forget” featuring Kayo. Both artists lay down tight verses and the Hansen-Macdonald Brothers directed visuals compliment the music nicely. The track appears on The Jason LP which is available now on iTunes. Check out the video after the jump.
