Last night was magical, the amount of Woman in hip-hop within Toronto who are doing incredible things is is simply breath taking. SFA media was there documenting most of the event, here’s footage of Michee Mee’s response to being acknowledged as a Canadian hip hop pioneer during last nights first annual Wombmanifesto conference and artist showcase. Wombmanifesto is a conference that was full of panels and workshops, exploring everything from motherhood to body politics to the re-definition of feminism. Along with celebrating and paying tribute to some of the female pioneers of the game who helped build the foundation for Canadian Hip Hop.
