We don’t usually post YouTube-only songs (i.e. without a download) but it’s Andreena (hi Andreena:)…) and that’s all I really have to say about that. She actually premiered this (xtra crispy) video at Intimate & Interactive (hi Tika:)…) a couple weeks back so look for that real soon as well.
Likkle look behind the scenes as well as show footage from Era‘s recent show opening for Meff. How you gonna cut “Pay Day” though??? You do get the preview of “”Yoga Flame” though…
New cat name Die-Rek. Boom bap is so alive and well in the Mega.
Hailing out of Toronto, Canada this young canuck MC/Producer/Connoisseur brings that deep rooted native tongue type flavor that many try to swing but come up short or are just missing. Die-Rek is a well put together package that music lovers will enjoy and has the ability to touch areas of your soul you never even knew existed.
This Project promises to take you on a journey to that era in Hip Hop where business was still present, but the enjoyment of the art was so strong it overrode the politics to a point where they seemed non-existent.
Ladies and Gents, I present to you Hip Hop, I present to you…The Die-Version Project.
Self produced, 19 tracks deep, Available for free download die-rek.bandcamp.com.
Via 1 Love T.O. Def a hot topic in the city right now. Shouts to Teaser. I never heard a graffiti artist talk so openly about the art form like this (i.e. it being selfish etc…) That being said though, dude’s face is covered and voice manipulated lol. But I guess I understand that. Still appreciate the honest words. Zion’s meeting with Rob Ford sounds mad frustrating too. He’s def right in saying that there can’t be a committee like that without people in the actual community.
