Maestro turns a Canadian hip-hop classic into a great inter-generational collabo performance with k-Os and Shad. What a night. More to come from CBC’s Hip-Hop Summit celebrations later today.
Now, there’s gonna be an hour-long edit of the concert that will be televised (although, we don’t know when yet) but the entire thing will be broadcast today at the hip-hop summit (I believe at 6pm).
Here are some pictures from the concert via 1 Love T.O. More under the hood.
Maestro — aka Wes Williams, aka Maestro Fresh Wes, aka the godfather of Canadian hip hop — talks about his inspirations, aspirations and the evolution of the art form. Part of the CBC Hip Hop Summit.
Speaking of the Hip-Hop Summit tomorrow. CBC has put together a series of viral videos/interviews to help promote. Here’s the one with the original celebrity crush, the Queen Michie Mee! DOPE.
Pioneering female emcee Michie Mee talks about her inspirations, aspirations and the evolution of Canadian hip hop.
Shouts to everyone that was at the concert on Tuesday. They’ll also be broadcasting that taping tomorrow as part of the Summit. Should be a dope vibe all day at the CBC!
