VIDEO: Marcus Troy Experience presents "The Mavericks Project – Bespoke Session"

hyperadmin | Fashion,Music,Video | Thursday, June 16th, 2011

MTL-reppin’ trendsetter Marcus Troy presents the latest piece in his “The Mavericks Project” collaboration with Nike – and what better way to do it then to the sounds of A-Game’s “Oh My”; not to mention the creative direction of Shane Stirling.

Good look on many levels.

Last year, Marcus Troy embarked on a digital collaborative project with Nike Sportswear to bring us The Mavericks Project.

The Mavericks Project was about telling stories and sharing stories from athletes and people from all around the world. The response was incredible and people from all over shared their most intimate stories on the Maverick Project microsite as well as the iTunes app.

The project resonated in people’s hearts and minds worldwide, sparking wide conversation about being a Maverick and discovering one’s Maverick spirit.

The stories and project were picked up by The Huffington Post, The Examiner and countless other news outlets who found the concept and idea to be brilliant.

One of the main incentives for sharing your story for the project was the opportunity to create a Bespoke shoe with Marcus Troy at 21 Mercer Street in NYC.

The popular Bespoke customization experience is like none other. The chance to design your own Air Force One with a team of Nike professionals is simply mind-blowing.

As part of the Marcus Troy Experience, two winners were picked from the countless Maverick Project stories to partake in this moment.

Carlos Sanchez and Timothy Rodrigues were the two winners of this initiative. These two individuals were brought down to New York City to work with Marcus Troy on some Bespokes. The following is a behind-the-scenes look at the process.

The super-talented and inspiring Bryan Espiritu drops a dope trailer for his upcoming look at the who, what, wheres and whys that define his Ideall Clothing and The Legends League brands.

“The Legends League: a film by Eighteen Eighty” is the closest I’ve ever let anyone into my workspace and thoughts about The Legends League. It is arguably the rawest you’ll ever see me in the hustle for IDEALL and the most honest I’ve spoken about the origins of my passion for my work.

Directed by Eighteen Eighty.

NEWS: The K'naan Fedora (By Big It Up) + CBC Interview!

hyperadmin | Fashion,News | Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Seen on 1LoveTO!

Sooo dope!

Big It Up hooks up with K’naan to create his own fedora just in time for The World Cup. I don’t even wear fedoras but I’m getting mine the minute it drops. And if you think Dusty Foot fever is peaking now, wait till soccer season really hits.

(Buy this hat and you’ll instantly be granted the power to penetrate the international market while maintaining your cultural identity :-))

Also peep K’naan’s interview on CBC’s Q with Jian Ghomeshi

Digression: Given all the “Wavin Flag” remixes out there I’m really surprised there haven’t been any soca or dancehall rubs yet..

Jay, Spexx, Lindissimo whatup?!!
