The video references college party movies such as Old School and American Pie, creating quirky, fun imagery. This marks Logik’s first official music video and follows the single’s success on radio across Canada.
Shot inside a fraternity house in downtown Toronto, the video finds Logik, Rich Kidd and King Cut in several scenes of a ruckus college party. Whether playing strip poker, partying with a life size Pink Panther or doing keg stands, good times riddle the video.
Whether that means we’ll see him reinterpreting already established songs or blending the whole project is something I guess we’ll find out in just over 45 days.
Check info (after the jump!) for the video release party going down tonight @ Callisto with Dj NaNa & a special performance from 88 Days Of Fortune’s Ayo Leilani.
New joint from Harvey Stripes called “Certified”. This one features Hakeem who has had a buzz for the past couple years but this might be his first appearance on an official release. Shouts to Sirmac!
Once again, in anticipation of his upcoming album, Harvey Stripes comes with another track for the summer. “Certified” is a track cooked up by Beat Merchant that features a hook by Hakeem. The beat itself lends to the summer season, creating a bright atmosphere for Harvey to lay his verses to. Beat Merchant has found a recipe for success when it comes to producing for Harvey. He uses the drums and bass well in blending with Stripes’ unique voice, giving every song that these two link up on a great sound. The beat also gives Hakeem a good canvas for his smooth, anthem-like chorus.
