First time hearing about Tredelle McLennon but this definitely has pop radio potential. Ladies’ll love this joint on some get up on the bar and dance type ish. Produced by The Vanguards (shouts to Kemo)! I shouldn’t have to run down Kemo’s extensive discography here but for the newbies they are from Vancouver and produced Kardinal’s “Dangerous”.
Toronto singer and songwriter Tredelle McLennon has officially released her first single “No More”. This new artist is one that continues to work at crafting and perfecting her sound and has already captured the attention of listeners in the past, thanks to her rendition of Chris Brown’s “Say Goodbye”, with boasted a viewership of over 85,000 hits on YouTube. For her first single, and one that is considered an artist’s breakthrough, this single serves as Tredelle’s introduction to the world. The young songstress has collaborated with Juno award-winning production team “The Vanguards” (who are behind Kardinal Offishall and Akon’s international hit single “Dangerous”) and has received this world-class crew’s stamp of approval by embracing the production of “No More”. The song’s high energy vocals, reminiscent of Rihanna’s “Shut Up and Drive”, will certainly have music lovers clamoring to this artist’s arrival on the scene. “No More” will be made available to radio, media and the public on April 20th 2010, right on time for spring and summer. The journey starts for this singing wunderkind, and “No More” sets the stage for Tredelle to carry her music nationally and abroad.
Young Tony drops the Boi-1da produced “Stack Money Stack Money”. If you don’t know who Young Tony is, Ty summed it up pretty nicely in the last post (below).
Official remix for Eternia & MoSS’ buzz single “It’s Funny” featuring Rass Kass!
In 2008, Eternia began recording her sophomore album with MoSS (a fellow Canadian), two years later the LP is complete and the title of the album says it all: “AT LAST!” Going where instinct took them, Eternia and MoSS’ collaborative union manifested into a sonically consistent album inspired by classic, boom-bap rap records.
“AT LAST” is entirely produced by MoSS (DJ Premier’s production partner) and features appearances by some of hip-hop’s elite: Joell Ortiz, Ras Kass, Termanology, Reef The Lost Cauze, Tona, Maestro Fresh Wes, Rage, Rah Digga, Tiye Phoenix & Jean Grae. Eternia is at her finest over MoSS’ production, offering raw, confidant & vulnerable first-person perspectives over gritty and moving soundscapes. “AT LAST” promises to resonate in a musical arena where most rap albums fail to deliver beyond a ring-tone single.

New music from 1st Party’sMista Bourne“Still Me”. This was the track that ended the “How You Wanna” video. Look for a full Tj Derry directed video to drop in a couple weeks. In the meantime vote for “How You Wanna” on The MCC!
King Reign rocks the home crowd during The Slaughterhouse concert last week at The Opera House. Runs through “Somebody Lied”, “Soaring To Heaven”, and “This Means War” off the “Reign Music Vol. 1” EP. Shouts to Richie Hennessey on the feature; Lyve on the 1s and 2s.
Via 2DBz. Told you this song still had a long way to go before it dies out! K’naan hooks up with B.E.P. front man will.i.am for another remix to “Wavin’ Flag”. The Internets are saying that this is the new official version of the song which is the official track of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Haven’t taken this joint in yet? Peep the 4 official videos below lol. Amazing and well-deserved push behind this record.

Directed by Anthony Mandler.
“Judge me and you’ll have no time left to love me.”
Let’s pledge to care more about the latter and enjoy the ride one of our own is on.
Album drops June 15th and if we don’t think the Toronto sales matter more in that week than the sales in any other city in the world, then we truly don’t understand what Drake’s success is supposed to mean for the Mega.
“Thank Me Later” is just as much about what WE do, as it is about what he does; and he’s already accomplished the seemingly impossible.
Rochester hooks up with ThinkCONTRA for visuals to a pretty introspective reinterpretation of Cold Play’s “Lost”. Canada, look for Juice on a stage near you; he’s currently on a cross country tour with the 411 Initiative.
