Anyone that knows my stance on artists and how they release their music knows I’m pro-snippet; and I definitely think video sharing communities provide a highly promising venue for artists to bring the audio snippet theory together with visual accompaniment BUT I’ve yet to see anyone do it properly. Which is why we almost never post youTube audio; cuz as pro-snippet as I am, posting a youTube photo collage on a blog just looks REALLY BAD.. no matter how good the music is (photo/music syncopated viral vids like Shaun Boothe’s/T-West’s etc are the extra extra thin line).
Slakah gets credit for trying to address this and I hope other artists build on his example (and of course my critique of the visuals have nothing to do with the quality of his music).
Like I was telling my partner reZ… there HAS to be a standard, cost effective way for artists to maintain a professional visual stnadard when posting their music on video sharing sites… we’re just not thinking hard enough.
But back to the actual post.. Definitely looking forward to this new Slakadeliqs project.
