Big shouts to Flo & Matisse! What a year these guys had! Definitely making it hard to pick local success story of 2009.
“I had one of the craziest years of my life, maybe one of the craziest years in hip hop for any new artist,” he said, sprawled on a distressed leather sofa in the prime downtown condo he bought last summer but has only recently had time to furnish. The decor – mostly hardwood, leather and sisal – is understated and frankly male. The view is easily worth a million or two, and seems to confirm that the multilabel bidding war that erupted around Drake last summer ended very much in his favour. (The winner, Motown Universal, released an EP of “extended-play selections” from So Far Gone in September.)
More accolades for Drake, this time nationally as The Globe And Mail gives their distinction of “Arts Person Of The Year”.
It’s finally here! This is my first time doing a project like this and i’m excited to share it with you. The Snack Pack includes a variety of random remixes I did for tracks from Beyonce, Biggie, Lil Wayne feat. Kanye, Nas & Luda, Lady Gaga and Buju Banton plus a bonus Janet Jackson remix courtesy of DJ Royale! All tracks are clean for radio play and come with intros for easier DJ mixing! Some people call em remixes, or edits or mash-ups (i don’t!), however you choose to label them is fine just as long as you enjoy them. So check it out, let me know what you think and feel free to share with your people! Thanks to Committee Marco on the design
Shouts to Big Jacks on the remix/mash-up/whatever term is en vogue these days… Personally I call it production. Enjoy!
All you beat heads will enjoy this one.. Presenting Moonstarr “Beats from the Vault Vol 1” the mixtape you have to have for the holidays.. Get your toes tapping, heads nodding while you are doing your holiday shopping, or wearing the lamp shade at your next holiday party.. Featuring a mashup of Moonstarr’s beats from the past, present and a sneak peak into the future. Including beats from Instrumentals Forever, Mathology, Montreal ILL Harmonics, guests, unreleased remixes and works in progress. Spread the word!!
Shouts to Moonstarr,Mano and PTR for passionately & tirelessly bringing sick music to the good music masses for over a decade!
“For 30 days starting from today my entire album “The Headphone” will be available for FREE download as a thank you but more importantly stressing that the music is the most important thing. I would rather people who dont know get a taste and people who do know get a gift, this concept was not a concept i came up with on my own” -KJ
Nowadays you got mixtapes, street albums, EPs.. So many names, it’s hard to differentiate.. To me the only real difference between a mixtape and an album is the actual value the artist sees in what he’s offering the listener; and if that’s the case, this should be worth the download (I’m puttin’ pressure on you KJ, lol)

Why am I not surprised that Ghost would drop a verse on this? We always say on OTA Live that sometimes you just gotta NOT RAP on an R&B song but alas….it’s Ghost and apparently he was inspired! Via NR.
Cipher that broke out out side of the lounge spot, featuring a bunch of toronto artists including Roshin, Spek Won, Lord Quest, Rich Kidd, EriK Flowchild and more!!!
Simply put: Just another crazy cypher on another crazy night in the Mega
