Lotus & Troy Dunnit – The Anti-Cupid EP
People NEED to get up on MTL’s Lotus & Troy Dunnit (whatup Mount Real!). Troy Dunnit’s originally from the group Obscure Disorder who dropped joints on A-Trak’s now defunct Audio Research label while I first heard Lotus a couple years back on Think Twice’s “Supa Fly” (A personal favorite! Shouts to Mano @ PTR!). Anywho, Lotus & Troy are now a duo and released “Nu Flava” a couple months back (coincidentally you can vote for it on the MCC).
Dope right? Why this song & video haven’t been getting more attention is beyond me but now that “bloggin’ is my hobby” (to a degree) best believe I’ll tell you about it.

Ian Kamau: September Nine Mixtape Vol.1
You might know him as one-third of The Pangea Project (with emcees Equinox 199 & Change); you might know him from his features on several of K-os’ albums; you might even know him for his local community work (most recently with Schools Without Borders) but right now Kamau would like you to know him for his September Nine Mixtape Vol.1. Named as such because that’s the release date for his sophomore full-length.

Frankie Payne
We do what we do because this city is filled with talent that NEEDS to be heard. Frankie Payne’s been putting it down for the Megacity from 19 how long and has maintained his position as an artists to pay attention to. His single “Reach” (prod. Tone Mason) did some damage on The MCC last year and with the launch of his website, a new EP (sick!) and a video on the way for the singles “Raining In Toronto” (feat. Andreena Mill) & “Money”, now would be a good time (if you aren’t already) to get familiar with the kid from Falstaff.
