GuSHee drop their full length joint amidst some healthy internationally attention.
Two producers, one from Brooklyn, NY via Maryland and the other from Toronto via Grenada meet casually on Myspace. The experimental hip hop turntablist Cheldon Paterson, connects with the soulful voiced button pusher Vanese Smith, both citing Portishead, Bjork and Herbert as influences. Creating and performing music under their aliases Pro-Ef and Pursuit Grooves, they decided to bring their specialties together to create a lush rhythmical dreamscape that surrounds you with equal parts love and bump. Mixing live recorded synth arrangements with meticulous drum programming, GuSHee creates an electronic wonderland. These nine tracks on their self titled debut LP will take you to the evening happy hour, the late night cuddle to the morning sunrise and back again.
Relic drops his “The Green Light” album (with features from Shad, Saukrates and more) but is only making it free till April 1st. Check the bandcamp link to preview and the link below to dld the full joint till then. Shouts to Chedo on the heads up.
This is the Special Edition CD of Slakah The Beatchild’s “Something Forever” that was released recently in digital format on BBE. Because of the extraordinary high demand, Slakah and BBE decided to release a very special CD that comes with four brand new bonus tracks.
In Slakah’s own words “Something Forever” is “the theme that is forever at the forefront of my mind when I create music. We can easily identify music that has that indescribable timeless vibe, music that regardless of the time period in which it was created sounds refreshing and
relevant when played.”
