Wow. Ayah lets off her highly slept on, 2009-released album – “4:15” – for free download.
Simply put a sick album with production from Jazzy Jeff, Slakah The Beatchild, Thrysite & more. You definitely get your Toronto passport revoked if you don’t have this in your collection.

New music from one of the city’s below-the-radar singers and a slept on local voice – Chris Rouse.
“Arousal (i) The Arrival“ features production from the man himself, along with Agile, Colin Munroe, Ceasaro Grant Jr. (whatup!) and a ton of others.
The song I posted above clearly illustrates how sick his voice is.

Kawzee (which is short for Kamakaze) earned his moniker by wilding out as a youth and always finding himself in some sort of trouble from time to time. However these days he is far from the kid he used to be. Now balancing a professional career with being a homeowner, father and husband, one would think he’d have little time to juggle his musical aspirations along his daily responsibilities. In time he became to realize that music was more a hobby but still maintained his drive to complete his album.
He grew up with hip-hop. He watched it grow from what many called a ‘fad’ to the multi-billion dollar industry it is today. From early EPMD, Lord Finesse… to the Native Tongues movement… to Wu, Nas and Jay-Z, he’s always been close to the culture and it resonates strongly in his music. Not to say that his music is reminiscent of any of those artists, but it’s the respect of the craft and integrity he puts in his work that he values above all. It’s also a good reason as to why his LP ‘Finally’ took over 8 years to make… hence the name ‘Finally’. The album is a collection of tracks spanning from a variety of topics including the birth of his first child, relationships, suicide, child abuse and pop culture… all while still lacing the occasional banger making it an album he believes anybody can relate to. The album has been available for sale since October and to this date the feedback he’s received has been overwhelming. Different people all had different favourite tracks off the album making it a solid album front to back.
Kawzee has called upon the ‘who’s who’ of Canadian producers to set the perfect backdrop to his project. Rich Kidd, Tone Mason, Soundsmith, Vokab, Neenah, Davenport, 2oolman and Bluntologist all had a part in making this project what it is. The album also features many up and comers such as Emerson Brooks, Via Linez, Dax Flow, Pearl from Everything that Fly, Joe Buck, Relz, Mookie Wilson and more. All that coupled with his on point flow, potent punchlines and variety of concepts makes this an album people are sure to take in, listen and enjoy. Good music lives!
Dirty and Clean versions of the album are NOW AVAILABLE for FREE DOWNLOAD.
