Mel was telling us about this last week and voila…! Basically the story went like this: KRS wanted her on it. They sent her the beat. She had no idea what they wanted. She wrote, recorded and sent back. KRS flipped and it was a wrap! I think this might be her first official “feature” too so congrats to Miss Melanie! Album The Bridge is in stores in Canada NOW but is available in the U.S. in October! Seen on 2DP!

1. Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years I will be 22 years old, therefore I see myself graduated from Ryerson University. I plan on going to school for Media Arts but then I want to take this 6-month course that will get me a teaching degree for Media Arts.That’ll be of good use for me when I get old and want to be out of the game. I can go teach at some high school at the age of 35-45 or so; maybe that’ll change… Also, I see my hustleGRL brand expanded across the nation. I will be working for more corporate companies and doing other things such as event planning, event hosting and PR work. Until then, I’m going to focus on my graphic design and expand my Photoshop and Illustrator skills. I will definitely keep my eyes open for various opportunities.
In Episode #11, Eternia provides a scathing critique of the “R.I.P. to All Female Emcees” media hype that has recently surfaced. She builds with the legendary MC Lyte & Jean Grae, as all 3 ladies shut down the ‘where are all the female emcees?’ rhetoric that has run rampant. The episode also introduces two other emcees killing the game: True Daley & Nemiss, who murk the stage… and happen to be female. If Ya (claimed) Ya Don’t Know… Now Ya Know.
In the upcoming months, eternia will release steady video & audio leaks leading up to the highly anticipated release of eternia & MoSS’s debut album, “AT LAST”.
