As promised, Erik Flowchild drops The Chixtape! If you aren’t familiar with Flowchild he’s definitely an artist you need to be paying attention to. Looks like this release is 18 tracks of (new + old) original material (crazy!) meant to keep us busy until his next release The Delivery Boy comes out. Full tracklisting under the hood! To help you catch up with Flowchild, below are also a couple links to relatively new material not related to this project.
Here’s the official blurb for The Chixtape:
What’s up Flowchildren !?!!
“The Chixtape” is a concept I came up with back in high-school…and it is by no means a mushy-gushy I-love-you-like-cooked-food kinda thing. It goes without saying that relationships (and male/female interactions in general) have their ups and downs. By compiling these tracks (new AND old) I tried to scratch the surface on some of my experiences…and the experiences of people around me (as inspiration comes from anywhere).
There’s been a bit of confusion about the “special features” that I have records with. Joe Budden, Big Sean, and Chrisette Michele are all on “The Delivery Boy”, not “The Chixtape”. This project was just to give you guys something to hold on to and something for me to do as I wait for these amazing artists to send me what I need left from them.
Via D’s new blog! Please don’t make me explain all the D-Sisiveness. No cameo from Lundie which is strangely disappointing. Up top is vlog #9. Down bottom is #8 featuring when the legendary DJ Premier recently played D-Sisive on his radio show. No Lundie in that vlog either. lol
