Ok…catching up with Those Chosen out of L.A. These cats have a full EP produced by Rich Kidd called the cA EP. This joint features Blake Carrington so the T.O. quotient is def healthy.
Busy is the word that best describes Those Chosen these days. Word on the street is they just finished wrapping up a Hip-Hop reality show set to air in Holland next month. But before the small screen shenanigans start, TC drops cA, their new project featuring production entirely from Rich Kidd. While the lead-off single, One Day, definitely was aimed at getting the ladies to scream I Am Manute Bol while sipping on something bubbly. Their follow-up single, This is cA, is a hard-hitting introspective look at the fast pace surroundings of California, a place the group calls home. They enlist the talents of Toronto’s own Blake Carrington to make waves on the track. Rez Raida presents his new project titled “Genius Shuttlesworth”. The album is based on his mad scientist alter ego who’s character represents his obsession with “dropping science” in the “lab”. These slang terms used to describe the studio and dropping rhymes initially inspired the offspring of Mr. Shuttlesworth. The end result was this full length EP being presented to you.

That was the case with Chuka, a Toronto bred, Atlanta based songwriter signed to BugMusic/Windswept Music Publishing. Good guy, great vibe and quick pen! Some of his writing credits include; Mario “DON’T WALK AWAY”, One Chance “LOOK AT HER”, Oak of The Knightwritaz and many more.
He was in town for a bit, so we connected and banged one out! Enjoy.
