Fresh Fair Chess

This weekend, barbers, beat-makers and anyone who just wants to get fresh to def will be heading out to Scarborough to take part in YOUnited’s east-side version of The Manifesto Festival…

The East is in da HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

One of Manifesto’s leading community partners, YOUnited Neighborhood Projects will be hosting some dope, innovative ish this weekend just next to Scarborough’s legendary land-mark, Town Centre. This event sounds crazy!! Hip Hop Chess, T-Shirt design contest and performances from Lindo P, Empire and more. This day will cater to the east-side head or anyone that just wants to enjoy a hype day of getting FRESH.

YOUnited Neighborhood Projects has got to be one of my favorite community groups in the city. This organization helps youth develop employable skills through festival and event planning. You’ve most probably seen Big Norm hosting an event or bumped a Soundsmith beat, main organizers Norm and Mac have been throwing events in Scarborough for a minute. This one is going to really hold it down for Scarbrough this year!! Check it out!
