New joint and video from a brand new artist named Kit Knows. Here’s all the info:
Off of “The First Space: Kit on the Moon”. Available for free download at: www.kitknows.com.
Directed by James Cooper & Patrick Struys.
Released in anticipation of the forthcoming re-mixtape “The Second Space: Kit in T.O.”
“This is the remix…remixed.
The release of “The Second Space: Kit in T.O.” marks the 3rd phase in a remix series created by Toronto hip-hop artist Kit Knows, following on the heels of his critically acclaimed 2010 re-mixtape, “The First Space: Kit on the Moon”. The series finds its origins in the Berlin based producer flako’s beat tape, “The First Space Shit On The Moon”, which he released through his website, kwatro.info. Within a few months, the tape had found its way into Kit’s hands, and an 18 track re-mixtape was created, with Kit both rapping and singing under selected material. After the large international recognition and response to the initial remix, this latest installment looks to bring the project home, to Toronto. Where previously Kit provided a flip on flako’s spacey, Detroit inspired beats, it is now the producers turn to add their take on the MC’s previous work. Teaming up with a roster from the “Beat Lounge” concert series, a monthly party where the city’s producers come to showcase their skill, “The Second Space: Kit in T.O.” features all new original music from an eclectic Toronto line up of producers and beatmakers, including Rich Kidd, Mantis, Junia-T, Fresh Kils, Sunclef, Lancecape, and Eon Sinclair of Bedouin Soundclash.
The project is a free download, available at www.kitknows.com. Keeping the remix alive, the accapellas for each track will be found on the site, and video-remix options are built into the project’s videos on YouTube. Join in. This is the remix…remixed.”
Tracklist under the hood. I’ll let Flawless tell the rest:
The Flawless Files is a collection of Jack Flawless’ brightest and best work to date. If you’ve been riding with the Toronto MC since ’04 when he dropped “Here We Go,” or just discovered him after the mainstream airplay of “Found A Girl” last year, everything you need is here – with some new tracks as well. The Flawless Files charts the path of a rapper fresh on the scene to an MC finding his voice. Featuring collaborations with Boi-1da (Drake, Eminem) and Rich Kidd (k-os, Saukrates), this is the first act that bridges this body of work to the greatness to come. Download the Flawless Files, share the free download as you like and let everyone know what you’ve been up on. Hit links Below for the downloads.
After dropping some snippets, remixes and the likes, R&B come up kid Cuban drops a next official single called “Hold On Me”. Produced by Twin for Psych Ward Creative Group. Peep under the hood for a couple viral video joints too (“Trill Everything” and his take on Drizzy’s “Marvin’s Room”).
