Toronto super collective 88 Days of Fortune celebrate their one year anniversary starting tonight at the Art Gallery of Ontario: FREE!!  Catch T.Ana Cole, KJ, Abstract Random, Ayo Leilani, Amenta, Brendan Philip, Wolf J, Yannick, Deon, Maiko Watson, Nadine and special guests Tanika Charles, Styrofoam Ones and outta towners THEESatisfaction tonight and over the next 3 days as they also hit up the Review Mirror (193 Baldwin) on Thursday and Cine Cycle (129 Spadina), Friday. “88 Days of Fortune started as a bunch of people who just wanted to make music together and perform as much as possible,” says Ayo Leilani.  “As individual artists we were having a hard time getting gigs so we decided to put on our own.  We recognized that together we needed to be as loud as possible because Toronto was just not listening”. Since the collective’s inception, members of 88 Days have performed at over 200 shows individually and together, representing music across genres from T. Ana on Rich Kidd beats to the folk sounds of Brendan Phillip and his guitar.
