Via Lissa’s spot! Collabo joint presented by DJ Lissa Monet and director extraordinaire Cazhmere! Featuring Kat, my celebrity crush Bambi Bugatti, Kitana & Quinn Maybach! Since Cazh is involved I’d like to assume there’s a video in the works too…(kinda like when RT! and The N.E. did the whole “The Throwback” project)???  Here’s some more deets from Lissa:

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen a collaboration like this in Toronto. Especially among female rappers in this city. “Champion” is a song produced by Aliby which showcases the lyrical prowess of Kat, Bambi Bugatti, Kitana and Quinn Maybach [on the hook]. This song was the brain child of female video music director Cazhmere and a collaboration by the girls.

I heard this song just before the summer started and knew I wanted to be apart of this because I have been fans of these girls for as long as I can remember. I think we’re going on five, six years now….so you know I had to show the utmost respect and love when I found out that they were ALL going to be on a track together!!!!!

  1. They got one right here! This could be a hit if the girls looks right, they have the right video and the right team working it.

  2. When I first heard the song I was expecting more from the music and the lyrical content. The song lacks arrangement on the melody and is extremely repetitive in a redundant manor. Some might think that I’m being a hater but I’m not. There are many other female artists from Toronto who harmonize a lot better then this song but because of the arbitrate mentality here (Toronto and most of Canadian major cities). The Puppet mentality shines more then the realistic values as well. Just as the Deejays follow a Payola type of situation as money is slipped to their hands.

But back to the song, Honestly it is nonsense and sounded like they took 10 mins on constructing it.
