“He’s a triple threat, man.” Yet, would you really limit him to 3 things? He raps, he produces, he performs live, he plays instruments, and who knows what else? It’s only fitting that a guy who’s mentor is Saukrates attempt and succeed at being a master at various crafts. He brought his jack-of-all-trades act to Revival for his We on Some Rich Kidd Shiiiit Volume 4 release party. Slowly but surely, Rich Kidd is making a name for himself around the hip hop circuit beyond Canadian soil. Continuing from the strength of his hit with K-os last year (“I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman”), Rich aims to capitalize on this opportunity to build and conquer. His overwhelming hometown support only compliments his under-rated talent. “Rich Kidd could be the best in his field, no matter what field he picks,” says fellow Toronto emcee (and a pretty damn good one) Adam Bomb. That kind of comment is not one of rarity, as many in this city feel the same way. To be on the Main Event bill at Manifesto, one has to bring a lot of energy, a lot of style, a lot of excitement, and a lot of talent. Rich Kidd definitely has all of it, hence, why he is more than worthy to be seen at Dundas Square on September 26th.
