Okay so a couple months back I posted the Taste Test EP from Montreal’s Shogun. That first EP is part of a 5 series project a la the 5 parts of Voltron – one of my favorite 80s anime franchises. This here is Part 2 in that series: The Heart Donor. Production from Sikh Knowledge, Xero Motion Music & Bones Malone. The cover art might be a little suspect but the music itself is worth checking. I’ve been listening to Shogun’s music for a little moment now. I liked the Taste Test EP and I’m liking the Heart Donor even more! The beats are good, the lyrics are on point as well and the concept of the pirate radio with its funny skits add very a good touch of humor to the album. Definitely a local artist worthy of being followed and supported.
