The “Krumping Out Crime” program helps the community, the arts, and furthers education.

  • Community: Helps the community by providing at-risk youths with a place to go to after school where they receive free food, free drinks, and a sense of family (rather than them seeking these things through gangs).
  • Arts: Helps the arts by introducing dance programs to schools that lack them, for free. Dancing is one of the most necessary arts, but it’s hard to establish due to how expensive it is to introduce it and upkeep it. The program will offer all of this for free, lowering the entry barrier.
  • Education: In order to receive free dance lessons the kids have to have an hour of tutoring before hand, mandatory. This will increase their desire to stay in school, since they actually understand the material now, and help them graduate high school. This has already been a success in previous schools with an increase in graduation rate, and a decrease in violence among the program participants.
