Press Release: Droppin Dimez is back live on the CKLN airwaves!
From the Droppin Dimez Press Release:
One Love DD Fam!!
*sigh*
*sigh*
Where do we begin? After being off the air since February, we’re beyond ecstatic to announce that DD Radio is BACK!! Tonight marks our first live-to-air show in about 8 months and there’s SO MUCH new music, we’ll try our best to squeeze it all in.
First off though, we have to say a sincere THANK YOU.
To all the industry label peeps, producers and artists who hit us up online, texted, called us and to the listeners who showed support by literally stopping us on the street to let us know how much Droppin’ Dimez has been missed – thanks a million!!!
Although we weren’t at CKLN, we definitely kept it moving over the past few months, making appearances at our province-wide Jam Van highschool tour, Canadian Music Week, NXNE, UMAC’s Urban Music Showcase, AFROfest, Honey Jam, Manifesto Festival, and more. JJ Rock opened for Keri Hilson, and MelBoogie opened for Busta Rhymes and DJ’d for Maestro (for the first time!!), all the while reppin’ for ladies in hip hop. Thanks to our extended radio family, we also did a few guest spots on radio – special thanks to DJ O? (Sound Junction, CHRY 105.5FM), DJ Manifest (Toronto Morning Live, CHRY 105.5FM) and The Real Frequency (FLOW 93.5FM) for the love.
Lastly, thanks for continuing to support CKLN 88.1FM during its absence from the airwaves. Tonight, we’re going until 2AM and plan to to deliver a show with straight music. Playlists and interviews will resume next week… in the meantime, it’s a celebration!!
